Milton and Rose Friedman
The international bestseller on the extent to which personal freedom has been eroded by government regulations and agencies while personal prosperity has been undermined by government spending and economic controls.

About the Author: He is known for being an economic advisor to Ronald Reagan.
Milton Friedman also won a Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences (not that that means anything now due to Al Gore winning a Nobel)

Bantam Review: 8/10 I'm only party way through the book and I absolutely love it. I recommend it to anyone who wants to know about economics and freedom and how they usually go hand in hand.

A million copy seller, Henry Hazlitt’s Economics in One Lesson is a classic economic primer. But it is also much more, having become a fundamental influence on modern “libertarian” economics of the type espoused by Ron Paul and others.
recognized as a leading interpreter of economic issues from the perspective of American conservatism and libertarianism.

Bantam Review: 9/10 This book does indeed give you the shortest and surest way to understand basic economics. Before finishing the book my biggest fear was that I wouldn't be able to remember the facts in the book to use in defense of liberty, but that is what makes this book so amazing. It doesn't tell you so much what to think (all though it does do that) it teaches you how to think and think about all parties involved in an economic decision. Especially those that are left out of a economics decision. Everyone should read this book.

While the "experts" want us to believe that all is well (or will be soon), nothing could be further from the truth. The worldwide financial crisis of 2008 and 2009 was just a sneak preview of what is to come. For those who act quickly and correctly, there is still time to protect yourself, your family, and your business in the next global money meltdown.

Bantam Review: 7/10 This book will give you amazing insight to the crash of 2008 and how it was predicted long before it ever happened. Not only by these authors (as the authors might want you to believe), but by people like Ron Paul. If we don't know our history we are doomed to repeat it.
